Lead free compatibility for JBC product Range
JBC Certifies that all the products in the range are compatible with lead free technology. This applies to equipment of former generations (i.e. JT, AD, RM etc.) as well as all the current products. The differences that may be experienced between the use of lead containing and leadfree alloys are:
-Slightly longer process time, especially using Hot air and-or the need to use higher temperature i.e. 30 to 40 degrees Celcius extra. May be required for some applications the use of a precheater.
-For contact tools like soldering Irons, hot tweezers and desoldering irons JBC recommends NOT using an increased temperature. The large majority of solder joints can be successfully made at 350 degrees Celcius using the JBC technology, if necessary, a higher temperature can be used.
